The Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box has made its seasonal return to the menu at Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen. The Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box has made an appearance around this time of year for the last few years. Why does it come out this time of year you might ask? The same reason for all of the recent seafood additions in the fast food world: Lent.
The Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box consists of 8 Popeye’s butterfly shrimp seasoned in a blend of slightly spicy and traditional seasonings, french fries, a biscuit, and cocktail sauce. The Butterfly Shrimp Tackle Box will be available for a limited time only for $4.99.
Also new on the Popeyes menu is the Strawberry and Cream Cheese Pie. This pie contains a strawberry filling and real cream cheese, all inside a deep fried pie pocket.
Looks like a good meal to me! Now if only they had a Popeye’s in my area so I could try these items.

IF you get this shrimp box, and if you want it fresh and good, just don’t get it at the popeyes in Covington Louisiana. I went there today just to get this meal and was SADLY disappointed, Being from Louisiana, Popeyes has ALWAYS been a favorite of mine and my family, it something we just grew up having at least once a week. I have been seeing the commercial about the shrimp and could not wait to get it for lunch today, but we I order it I had to pull up and wait almost 10 min to get it and when I FINALLY got it, it look like it had been under the heat lamp for three days, I was SOOOOO disappointed, and PISSSED I might add, Not to metion that the people that work there where EXTREMLY rude and acted like they didn’t care if I was not happy or not. I just hate spending my good hard earned money on a place that I get crappy food and crappy service….. Thanks for letting me vent, and also I apologize in advance for any type-o or misspellings
