Carl’s Jr. has brought back their Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad for the summer. This salad was last on the menu back in 2009. I find it quite funny that they still tag the “Eat Like You Mean It” phrase onto a salad. Carl’s Jr. is known for some pretty unhealthy creations, most recently the Super Bacon Cheeseburger, so this comes as somewhat of a surprise.
The Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad (man that’s a long name) features a spring mix, chopped iceberg lettuce, grilled chicken, dried cranberries, apple slices, glazed walnuts, feta cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette. The salad comes in at a mere 320 calories.
Also joining the featured salad is a new BBQ Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad. This salad features a spring mix, chopped iceberg lettuce, grilled chicken, tortilla strips, fresh salsa, black beans, corn, shredded cheese, and Memphis BBQ and Ranch dressings. This heartier salad contains a modest 500 calories
In traditional Carl’s Jr. style, the Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad gets its own sexy commercial, featuring Jenny McCarthy. Check out the commercial for Carl’s Jr.’s Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad:
