McDonald's latest addition to their line of burgers and the most interesting of the new Quarter Pounders is the Bacon Habanero Ranch Quarter Pounder. This spicy addition to the McDonald's menu consists of a Quarter Pounder patty, white cheddar cheese that McDonald's is including on everything lately, leaf lettuce, tomato, a new applewood-smoked bacon, and a spicy habanero ranch sauce all on a bakery-style bun with 8g of whole grains. McDonald's has pulled the plug on their Angus Third Pounders to make way for three new varieties of the Quarter Pounder. The Quarter Pounder is an iconic McDonald's burger that the company hasn't touched in decades. While not exactly clear cut as to why the company pulled the Angus Third Pounders off of their menu, it seems that part of the reason is due to the rising cost of beef prices.

As a part of Sonic's Summer of Shakes, one of the most controversial shakes is the new Peanut Butter and Bacon Shake.
